Welcome Back!

It is hard to believe school is right around the corner.  Summer has flown by!  I hope your child is as excited to start the school year as I am. It was great to see so many parents and students at the open house on Wednesday.  I enjoyed meeting new students and talking with former students.

Please check this blog for important information about your child's art class.  A weekly agenda can be found to the left of this post.  Lesson plans and class information is found to the right of this post.  I look forward to working with your child and can't wait to see what amazing creative artworks your child will produce over the next trimester.

The artwork will be on display at the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts at the Grand Rapids Art Museum from June 6th-8th. This highlights the best work Sparta Middle School art program has achieved this 2013/2014 school year.  I am so proud of the work of the middle school students.  I only wish I would have been able to display more work.  For there were countless other students who could have joined the ranks of the superior artwork shown at this year's Festival of the Arts.
